MAKE AN IMPACT TODAY!

The success of our season depends on our volunteers! Your help is needed to provide quality STEM experiences for K-12 students throughout Virginia and Washington, D.C. Get more information about volunteer roles and sign up to volunteer at a local event below.

Volunteer Roles

There are several roles you can consider and determine what fits your interests.

  • Judges/ Reviewers – Help evaluate and give feedback to teams
  • Referees – Help the students play their game safely and fairly
  • Event crews – Help with setup, run, and tear down of the event
  • Event Organizers – Help plan and organize events and volunteers

Events are staged from November through May. Event volunteering typically requires an entire day, some run two days, plus a small amount of pre-event training. No experience required; we will train you when you get involved with an event!

Find the Perfect Volunteer Role!

Some volunteer roles require technician knowledge and skills, while others require enthusiasm and passion when working with students. Some roles are “behind the scenes,” while others are “in the spotlight.” Find your perfect role!

Ready to get started?

To ensure the safety of our young scholars, we ask that volunteers to complete our registration process. Learn more about that process and other volunteer resources.
