Activities will open Monday, November 26th at 10:00am.  Please note, that all forms will say “We’re sorry, this activity is full. Please register for another.” until they are open on November 26th.  After November 26th, if you get that screen, the activities are in fact full.  Keep in mind that students will have time for only 1 activity.

We are excited to see you all on December 1st and 2nd!

Division 1 Activities

Joshua Nichols of the Ruling Robot Falcons, the 2x winner of VA-DC FIRST LEGO League Championship will be hosting an Advanced programming activity for Division 1 teams.

When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney (Matt Damon), presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meager amount of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilize his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Meanwhile, back on Earth, members of NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring him home, while his crew mates hatch their own plan for a daring rescue mission.

Join us in welcoming a special guest from NASA to James Madison University! They will be doing a special surprise presentation and we welcome all who are interested to attend the presentation.

Take in immersive sky shows in our three full-sized theaters including the Definiti Theater, Samuel C. Johnson Family Star Theater, and the Grainger Sky Theater-Adler’s most technologically advanced theater.

Division 2 Activities

Explore approaches to control, sensing and the programming techniques used to integrate these devices. The program will be open to beginners but more advanced participants can investigate some of the more challenging aspects of the topics.
